never fails to make me shed tears
The Smile album sounds like a musical genius' mind falling apart.
People, their father put them through hell, bad marriages and relationships, not the love he was looking for, feeling empty.not the way to dull the pain.hope hes resting.😊
What's the source for this footage, this seems like an excerpt
Love Dennis you ar in the Pacific blue ocean So beautiful rip 💕💕💕
One of his best
Timeless, and spectacular! 🎶 ❤
Taylor Hawkins also couldn’t control his substance use…..
this is DENNIS ' s voice !!!!
Great to see a video of young Brian singing this and playing piano seems rare
I haven't lost my virginity yet. I just want mY own place and hookers.
Addiction can get really ugly regardless of who it is. R.I.P. stay away from drugs and alcohol.
honestly one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Always brings me to tears.
I haven’t laughed so hard in ages! This man is a godamn masterpiece
I was able to tell him how much I loved this song. Met him in a hallway at a club in Marina Del Rey...He told me he liked my band. I said, "you look familiar, do I know you?" "I'm Dennis Wilson." "Oh! you wrote Only With You...beautiful tune" "Thanks man." "What are you doing here?" "I have a boat moored across the street." That was it...but I'll never forget it.
I always thought that Brain Wilson stayed In his room for one year...Either way, that is very odd bahavior !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what most people happily did during the plandemic and still do after 5 years, sick
If you read Ham on Rye, you already know why he cried while reading his poem.
Hillarious. Great interviewer too :D
👍👍👍👍👍
This is the best doors performance
I think that they reached a peak late 68 tour of UK and EUROPE, after Miami it went downhill (live at least)
Dennis voice did change
Im a Beach Boy fan 😊
so it happened? wow
This is in my opinion the best version of this song! Brian performed "Surf's Up" here with powerful and amazing passionate feeling! He never recaptured it quite this perfectly on the future recordings of the song. It's a very complex tempo to catch. The future recordings he had done the song just a tad to fast. I LOVE THIS VERSION OF "SURF'S UP!" 😁💖🎶
The tape of him “singing “ You Are So Beautiful should never have seen the light of day . A disgrace and shame on whomever let it be released . It is pathetic and although sad , an all too common Rock & Roll story .Did anyone try to get him help ?
We remember that Journalism majors have some of the lowest IQs of all college students.
I bet he was terrible in bed lol
Terrible or not as long as you get to have intercourse that's a win.
I wouldn't mind being a big galoof in suspenders hanging out answering questions and pretending I'm more interesting than I am. Bukowski actually is as interesting as he makes out to be as his live performances have shown but I'm not so hanging out and doing interviews and whatnot... well, as long as it's not interrupting my writing. And my writing would probably interrupt it to be honest. Lines just float by for me. I can't not write.
This would have better with out the protest footage. The footage has nothing to do with the songs. The doors were not a political group. They were not heavy handed.
Love & mercy 💕
Time vault.
Imagine forgetting the name of a chick that you lost your virginity to, hahaha!
LOVE YOU DENNIS, THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT MUSIC AND CONCERTS….ROCK ON❤❤❤❤❤❤
So sad to think that ten years later, this handsome, talented young man with a beautiful voice would be a grossly overweight, bearded and unkempt guy with a ruined, rough singing voice unable to direct an entire production and dragged out on stage like a performing bear. If only he’d not had access to drugs at this crucial time in his development as an adult, he might have been able to process his childhood trauma and become a happy productive adult.
2024, 26 yrs old, a little high AND shaking cus wtf!! Brian’s such a legend oh god
One of the few pop musicians who truly deserves the word "genius".
0:27 1:25
0:29 "There are many moments in there where I look like a complete asshole and, I felt like one" That's because you were, man...
Usually, a musician can eat for life if he has only one hit song. And yet, his creative peak continued from 1963 to about 1968, He had a series of hits all by himself. His rivals were the duo of Paul and John. There is no doubt that he is a genius.
Lennon/McCartney wrote catchy hooks and disposable pop songs. Nothing spiritual about their songs and most were pretty degenerate thematically. Brian Wilson wrote transcendental spiritual music that invoked joy and sorrow at the same time and often had pop appeal.
No
Beautiful but it cuts off at the best part! lol
Brian. Not Brain.
nah i like the version with Brian on backround vocals more.

I’m pretty sure I watched this back in the 80s. It was a time capsule back then as it is today.
If only the Beach Boys albums had carried on with these over blown masterpieces. Albums in which you just immerse yourselves in listening to every track Could the said albums included Brian's quirkness, a cover or two, upbeat trademark Beach Boy songs. You could say that their final album That' Why God Made The Radio returned to provide a timely reminder to all Beach Boy fans, shame it couldn't include some of Carl's and Dennis's material. Another beautiful song bý Dennis, one of many should have been used by The Beach Boys.
He had such a troubled personal life but his art really brought out the best in him. This song is full of affection and love.
if in our days women reject you because you don t drive a Mercedes or Gold or Cadillac, think at Charles, we re not alone there were others and other will follow us, as Camus said- Suffering is universal
